Showings today included a listing with the best basement bar I’ve seen in a while, a sauna, a landline, which I always test, and which absolutely did not work and a spider the size of a small country. 🕷️ Also today: listing photos and puppy snuggles while my amazing photographer did her magic, Art Fest, first lemonade of the summer, water balloons, offers sent to FSBOs, client texts between backyard water games, tackling one of my least favorite chores (cutting a watermelon 😅) with a very important helper and now we have melon coming out of our ears, Bradford somehow gave himself some theater makeup and has a new eyebrow, ice cream to celebrate the END OF FIRST GRADE (thanks Grandma Carma), and Stanley Cup finals snuggles at bedtime. Summer Saturdays are something else. We soak it ALL up.

grandcitiesliving Okay, something I don’t think enough people know and honestly feel like it’s my job to just say it. When you click “tour this home” or “contact agent” on Zillow? You’re not getting connected to someone. You’re getting sold to someone. Your info gets passed to an agent who paid for that lead. It could be the listing agent, it could be someone who has never even been inside that house. There’s really no way to know. Most buyers just assume they’re talking to the right person. And I get it, it looks that way! But it doesn’t always work like that behind the scenes. I had a client this week who clicked on a listing just looking for more info and accidentally set up a showing for the two of us. It happens more than you’d think. 🫣 No timeline is too far out, no question is too small. Text me the address from your couch at 9 PM while you’re dreaming about a new kitchen. I’ve got you, friend!

grandcitiesliving The market doesn’t slow down for warm days and nights and honestly, neither do we. This week had offers, showings on both sides of the river, and prepping two new listings hitting the market soon. My assistant has been logging miles too, and there’s something I genuinely love about clients who make him feel like part of their experience. Outside of work: Bradford is a work in progress on the leash, baseball nights are giving us all the summer feels, and I got one of my favorite reunions in, a blood donation dates with a dear friend. grandcitiesliving Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there doing their best, even on the days their best doesn’t look the way they imagined. I won’t pretend I get it right every time. There are days I’m too tired, too stretched, too in my head. Days I wish I had more patience, more answers, more of me to give. But then I look at Allister, this kid who is growing into someone genuinely kind and funny and good and I think, okay. We’re figuring it out. It’s been an interesting year for the two of us and I wholeheartedly believe we are both growing together, figuring out our new normal. Being his mom is the thing I’m most proud of. Full stop. Not a listing I’ve closed, not an award, not anything else. This. To all the moms (and my fellow single moms) quietly carrying it all, the logistics, the worry, the love that never clocks out, I see you. Today and every day. 💙

I love being back on campus. 🏡 New listing. Price adjustment. 5 new buyer clients. Photos at 2 more homes soon. 🔑 Showings with clients looking to upsize, including a few familiar faces I’ve worked with before, and honestly? My heart bursts every single time a client comes back. It never gets old. 🐾 Bradford has entered his hunter era. We held a bunny funeral. RIP, little guy. Bradford is unbothered. 🌺 Spring is doing its thing and honestly? So are we.

The next I’m catching up with a client about their next steps. And somewhere in the middle there’s usually an triple dreamy cold brew involved. It’s busy and unpredictable, but it also means I get to spend my days helping people find the place where their life will happen next. For that, I’m so very grateful!
